Well, we made it through a VERY turbulent year – for #theResistance at large and for us at #NotMyPresident, as well. But we believe 2018 will be an incredible year and that very soon justice will be served. I’m reminded of the song “Don’t Stop Believing” tonight – we have to hold onto the hope that justice will be served quickly.
We have rewritten the song a bit to fit the Resistance:
Don’t stop resisting
Hold on to hoping
Justice will be served
Don’t stop resisting
Justice is coming
And we want to encourage you guys – justice will be served in 2018. #Truthwins, always.
To encourage you guys in the upcoming year, the four main admins of #NMP have written you encouraging letters, reflecting upon 2017 and giving you hope for 2018. We wanted to share our thoughts with you for the next year – we are so grateful for everybody who follows NMP and the Resistance, at large, we hope these letters encourage you:
Justine’s letter:
I am so proud of the hard work #TheResistance has done in 2017 and grateful for the friends I’ve met along the way. May we continue to resist into 2018 and most importantly, this year, we must remember to work together, despite our differences, to make this country a better place – that is truly #MAGA! Keep up the great work on resisting, we are truly #strongertogether! Lastly, never give up Hope!!

Sancious’ letter:
As, we bid goodbye to 2017 and welcome 2018. I find myself reflecting on all the baggage 2017 brought and unpacked. The past year was certainly filled with a lot of things, surprises, a lot of intrigue, the loss of many innocent lives, and a lot of frustrations.
We saw that age old serpent called racism rear his head but we saw a genuine love for our fellow man surface and defang that serpent.
Yes, many lessons were learned as America stepped to edge of the precipice of a crisis. However, the characteristic that make us great “rose like a phoenix from the ashes” stirring the hope that we will survive, and we did because we persisted.
Whatever 2018 holds and bring to the table. We will endure because we are resilient people and do not give in to defeat. Yes, 2018 will be interesting and full of surprises, but we will survive.
We survived 2017, because we resisted and persisted.
Carla’s letter:
The Resistance doesn’t just belong to the big names and verified personalities on Twitter. It belongs to EVERY REAL person behind a twitter account, no matter how small the account or how new to twitter they are. But it first and foremost goes BEYOND twitter and other social media platforms; to include all of those who don’t even have a social media account.
The Resistance belongs to EVERY person marching, every person calling, every person emailing, every person voting, every insider we may never know who’s been working diligently behind the scenes to bring down corruption, and every person lending their voice and support to resisting hate, tyranny, greed, racism, prejudice, bigotry, sexism & sexual harassment, religious hypocrisy, and disunity.
Together, we are all united in these goals. Together we can stand up to bullies in high places and show them all that we outnumber them, we refuse to be silenced, and we refuse to give up and go away. Thank you all my fellow resistors; for your courage, persistence, perseverance, and hope for a better future.

Hepzibah’s letter:
2017 was a year full of turbulence and hate but, we persisted together. The Resistance was there when hate was inaugurated, the Resistance was there when bigotry raised its evil head, the Resistance was there when dangerous laws were being peddled, and the Resistance was there when #Nazis tried to destroy the peace and tranquility of those who fight for justice. And we won. Almost every battle we fought, we won. Hate didn’t win – we did. Many long and hard battles were fought, but justice prevailed. In 2018, it will prevail completely. Though he tries to shut us down, we grow stronger by the day. The Resistance is not just a movement, its a living, breathing substance that encompasses every continent of the world. It reigns supremes against hate, bigotry, and intolerance. As one, the Resistance will topple the dictatorship – but we can only do that together. We must unite as one. Don’t give up. Don’t surrender. Fight. Fight for the lives lost and for those who still are suffering. Fight as it your life depends on it because, some HAVE lost their lives in this battle.
May 2018 be the year that we see victory – may the dictatorship topple and Truth reign supreme. Together. And always remember…#LoveTrumpsHate
